Jay Ague has been named as a Fellow of the Geological Society of America

Jay Ague has been honored with a Fellowship of the Geological Society of America.  He is recognized for his outstanding contributions to the fields of igneous and metamorphic geology, including recognition and quantification of exhumation depths in ancient magmatic arcs, thermal pulse durations and petrologic indicators of ultra-high pressure/temperature conditions in metamorphic terrains, and fluid and carbon fluxes in orogens and subduction systems.  He is also commended for exceptional training of young geologists.
