Anjan Bhullar has received an American Association of Anatomists Young Investigator Award
February 8, 2018

The Young Investigator Award will be presented at the Experimental Biology 2018 meeting this April. From the Associations’ website, the award “…recognizes investigators in the early stages of their careers who have made important contributions to biomedical science through research in the morphological sciences, as broadly defined, and have demonstrated remarkable promise of future accomplishments.”  Please check out the following link for more information: https://www.anatomy.org/awards-recipients-2018.html

Anjan’s lab was also a winner in the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology’s (FASEB) national Bio-Art competition. The recognition is for a stunning image of an alligator embryo, which bears a remarkable resemblance to a bird embryo. They are similar because birds and crocodylians had a common ancestor some 250 million years ago that probably looked like a small dinosaur.
