Dave Bercovici has just been announced as the 2022 recipient of the Augustus Love medal, awarded by the European Geosciences Union. The Love medal is awarded to a distinguished scientist in the field of geodynamics (i.e., mantle and core convection, tectonophysics, post-glacial rebound, and Earth rotation). The medal is named in honor of Augustus Love, who did important foundational work in geodynamics and seismology (and for whom Love waves and Love numbers are named).
