SIAM fellows are recognized for their exemplary research in applied mathematics as well as their outstanding service to the community. According to the citation, John is being recognized for “fundamental contributions to the modeling of interfacial problems, the study of ice, geophysics, and climate dynamics.” It’s terrific to see John’s scientific achievements recognized in this way.
