The GSA Donath Medal (Young Scientist Award) was established in 1988 and is awarded to a young scientist for outstanding achievement in contributing to geologic knowledge through original research that marks a major advance in the earth sciences. Lidya has been awarded the medal for her outstanding contributions to our understanding of bioturbation and the evolution of animal behaviors in the geologic past.
